Tactile is engineered from the ground up as a local-first system. When you stream an auxiliary screen, trigger Touch Bar macros, or sync your clipboard, all data travels exclusively between your devices over your physical USB-C cable or local Wi-Fi network. Zero frames, zero touch coordinates, and zero clipboard snippets are ever transmitted to cloud servers.
We collect only the minimum data required to deliver early access invitations:
Macro configurations, custom shortcut palettes, and pairing credentials are saved locally in standard Application Support directories on macOS and local sandboxed storage on iOS/Android. You own your data in its entirety.
